Our Friends Light Blue Software
Welcome to our “friends” blog series.
In this series of blogs I will be taking a look at some of the companies and services on our friend’s page of our website.
In this blog we will be looking at Light Blue software.
Light Blue Software is an ingenious piece of software especially designed for the photography industry to help organise & record our contacts and shoots as well as recording our finances, its truly is a all in one solution.
Hamish, Tom and the team have worked hard to create a dam near perfect bit of kit. Now on V4 it has evolved from a good bit of software to a brilliant bit of software and the latest version has not disappointed. Well it didn’t win SWPP professional product of the year for nothing.
With V4 was also the introduction of the new subscriber online service which is a god send and a bit of relief from other cumbersome software. Basically you can have Light blue on a number of machines and as you enter the information it sync it with all of your copies of Light Blue. Even if you are offline it will auto sync as soon as you go online. So no more data file transfers, and no slow web applications.
Currently (20/03/2013) the Mac version is available but the windows version should be out in the next week or so and the IOS app a few months later.
Our key Features:
This is a brief overview of just some of the main features that Light Blue has to offer. As you see from the image below it is a simple interface that you can learn to use very quickly.
The team at Light Blue are great and really care about their customers. Light Blue has a cracking help and training section on their website with videos to illustrate every aspect of the software, but if you have an issue that can’t be solved by looking in the knowledge base, they have great email support. All emails are personal and often you get a response with in a couple of hours or if your issue is complex they will keep you fully updated.
5 reasons to choose Light blue?
After using Light Blue for a while now I have come to depend on it just like any other software we use be it Darkroom, lightroom or Photoshop. It performs well and despite the small teething problems (that were sorted in light speed time) it is a good investment. By no means am I being paid to sing about Light Blue I genuinely love it and after meeting the guys at the Focus on imaging, and seeing the way the get involved with their customers just reassures me. If you are looking for an all in one photography business management tool look no further Light Blue does the job doesn’t matter if you are a wedding photographer, portrait photographer, a studio or event photographer it’s completely customisable to your needs.
